Mathew Buchanan and Kylie Buchanan are the owners behind MAK Agriculture, a family-run Speckle Park stud based on 473 acres near Gulgong in Central West NSW. Established in 2023 following their first purchases at the renowned JAD Female Sale, the stud has continued to grow through the careful selection of genetics sourced from leading Speckle Park studs across Australia.

The property, known as “Glanna,” has remained true to its history, retaining the original name after being held within the one family as a respected Merino stud for almost 100 years. Through hard work, dedication and a passion for the beef industry, Mat and Kylie have transformed Glanna into a growing Speckle Park operation focused on producing commercially relevant cattle with strong structure, quiet temperaments and outstanding beef quality. With a hands-on approach and a clear vision for the future, MAK Agriculture is committed to breeding cattle that thrive in real-world conditions and deliver value from paddock to plate.
